#10145 17"x10"x12" Cherokee basket, dyed river cane splints on oak spokes, the lashing of the rim and base is probably the inner bark of a Hickory tree, the two darker weavers creating a band are oak, this use of materials in baskets is unique to far Western North Carolina, ca. 1900, some minor staining to the bottom due to use, otherwise very good condition $325.00
