#2037 3"x3"x2.5" Miniature buttocks basket, Cherokee, collected in North Georgia, early 20thC, the material used to make the basket is a more flexible wood that I see in early Cherokee baskets to lash the rim, I'm not sure yet what the wood is, but it would make since to use it to get a more detailed miniature basket, near mint condition $65.00

The photo below is a detail of the rim of a large Antique Cherokee oak twill basket.

The wood used to lash the rim is not Oak, but a more flexible wood yet to be determined.

It cures with age slightly darker than the oak, and is the material used to make the miniature

basket #2037 featured above.
