#15-SEM 31" round Nichols Chinese rug, hand knotted wool, China, ca. 1930-40's, must have been a special order or limited addition, I have never seen one or heard of one like this, the Marine Corps emblem on a blue-black field, The eagle, globe, and anchor with the banner in the eagle's mouth which reads "Semper Fidelis", it is stretched over a round frame, and has a decorative metal bar for hanging, stamped on the back "HAND MADE IN CHINA BY NICHOLS", near mint condition, rare  $850.00

The back is stamped by the most famous Deco Chinese rug maker of the 1930's and 1940's, Walter Nichols.

There is a decorative bar and chain on the back for hanging.
