#12904 2x4.3 Suiyuan horse saddle, hand knotted wool pile backed in fabric, holes for belly straps bound with leather, China, 1st Qtr 20thC, deep blue with cranes, deer, and cypress trees, all of which represent longevity, generally in very good condition considering it was used, it does have some minor dings $650.00

There are holes reinforced with leather for straps to pass through.

The wooden saddle would rest on the horses back, the pile rug used to protect the horse.

Straps would pass through the leather bound holes and through the metal rings, then passed under the horses belly.
