#9157 13" tall African carved wooden figure, a "Power figure" called N'kisi, Yombe people, D.R. Congo, 20thC vintage, this Yombe N'kisi figure is more handsome than some, standing on a square base with truncated arms, a wide toothy grin showing his filed pointed teeth, a rhomboid magical charge with embedded mirror  protrudes from the belly, the eyes have pieces of mirror embedded as well, the N'kisi was thought to grant the owner special powers or gifts, looking at the large bulbous head, it is easy to imagine that this N'kisi could be associated with fertility rites, general good condition with a couple of hairline cracks $125.00
